As we know equation for Net positive suction head available is,
NPSHA = Hs - hL + HA - Hv
Where, Hs = Static suction head or lift, hL= Suction line losses, HA= Absolute pressure at the liquid free surface, Hv= Vapour pressure at liquid pumping temperature.
Given, HS= +10 ft
HA= 27.5 inch of Hg = 31.16 ft of Water
(as 1 Inch of Mercury = 13 595.1 kg/m3 * 1 in * g & 1 Foot of Water = 999.972 kg/m3 * 1 ft * g)
Hv= Vapour pressure of water at 190 F= 9.327 psia= (9.327 * 2.31)/0.997 = 21.61 ft of water
Water flow rate (Q) = 180 gpm = 0.401 ft3/s ( as 1 ft3/s = 448.83 gpm)
So, velocity V = Q/A = 0.401/ (d2 /4) = 0.401/(* 0.252/4) = 8.17 ft/s
hL = fLV2/ 2gd = 0.02 *25 * 8.172/ 2 * 32.174* 0.25 = 2.074 ft
Hence, NPSHA= +10 - 2.074 +31.16 - 21.61 = 17.475 ft
